10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Hillcrest Mall
Flyers and clipboards in front of the mall. Talking with our fellow Richmond-Hillians about the climate emergency, and signing them up.
People know that we’re in a climate emergency, our governments aren’t acting, and it’s a problem; but they don’t know what to do about it. That’s where we come in. The next big school strike, the next international climate rebellion, we will be there: with signs, flags, banners, chants, and hundreds of members ready to go.
It all starts here: talking with our neighbours, adding them to our mailing list.
We will meet in the food court at 10:30am for a quick sync-up on what we’re doing and how to do it (look for the group of rebels and the XR logo subtly displayed). Clipboards and flyers will be provided. At 10:45am, we will head to one of the mall entrances (or more than one, if we have lots of people).
We are not coordinating with the mall on this. We’ll continue until they ask us to leave (or until 12:30). No big signs or banners this time, no disruption; just people talking to people.
